Hummingbird-Inspired RL-Driven Flapping-Wing Robot Published
Sep 2025 – Mar 2026
Developed a biomimetic flapping-wing robot for stable low-speed flight and water-air cross-medium operation, combining aerodynamic modeling and RL-based stabilization control.
Designed lightweight mechanical platform with figure-eight wing motion, crank-rocker transmission, carbon-fiber frame, waterproof wing surfaces, and servo-actuated tail mechanism.
Published in the International Conference on Mathematical Physics and Computational Simulation (ISSN: 2753-8818), indexed by CPCI and Google Scholar.
Received Honorable Mention at the 2025–2026 Mercer Science Fair.
New Jersey Nitrate Hotspot & Water Quality Dashboard
Analyzed 2000–2026 WQP nitrate data, cleaning 5.2M+ records and extracting 56,007 nitrate observations.
Identified 411 hotspot stations across 3,658 monitoring sites using mean and p90 nitrate thresholds.
Built and deployed a public Flask dashboard linking nitrate hotspots with watersheds, land use, and NJPDES facility density.
